UAE’s 10 Aid Trucks Reach Gaza with Winter Supplies
Abu Dhabi: In a humanitarian effort to assist those in need in Gaza, the UAE dispatched ten aid trucks carrying over 160,000 winter garments and blankets to the war-torn region. The initiative, aimed at providing essential support to the Palestinian population during the harsh winter, reached the Rafah border crossing.
As part of the ‘Be the Warmth’ campaign, launched to deliver humanitarian aid to the Palestinian people, the third phase of the initiative included the distribution of winter clothing at the Golan Night camp. The campaign encompasses a wide array of supplies, including clothing, heaters, food packages, and medical aid, all of which are contributions from the Emirates Red Crescent (ERC).
The ERC, a prominent humanitarian organization, has actively been involved in reaching out to the Palestinian community, offering clothing and essential items to meet their daily needs. In addition to clothing, the aid includes heaters, food packages, and medical supplies, demonstrating the organization’s commitment to addressing the comprehensive needs of the affected population.
To facilitate the distribution process, the ERC set up 175 centers across the country. The organization has equipped 121 trucks and 129 aircraft, transporting 10,000 tons of relief materials to Gaza. This significant logistical effort underscores the UAE’s commitment to providing timely and comprehensive support to the Palestinian people.
In conclusion, the UAE’s swift and extensive aid delivery to Gaza reflects its dedication to alleviating the hardships faced by the Palestinian population, especially during challenging seasons. The ‘Be the Warmth’ campaign, spearheaded by the Emirates Red Crescent, stands as a testament to the nation’s commitment to humanitarian efforts, offering immediate relief and addressing the long-term needs of the affected community.
