RTA Announces Road Closures Amidst New Year Celebrations in Dubai: Financial Centre St

Amid the vibrant New Year celebrations, Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has issued a public advisory, notifying residents and visitors about temporary road closures due to heavy traffic in critical areas.

In a tweet earlier today, the RTA informed the public about the closure of Financial Centre Street’s Lower and Upper Deck for regular commute. However, an exception has been made for those traveling from Al Khail Road to the Upper Deck.

The official tweet from RTA read: “#RoadUpdate: Closure of Financial Centre St. Lower and Upper Deck for commute, except for those coming from Al Khail Rd. (Upper Deck). Please use #PublicTransport to reach your destination. #MyDubaiNewYear”

The road closures come as Dubai gears up for extravagant New Year celebrations, attracting many residents and tourists to various iconic locations. The RTA has urged the public to utilize public transportation options to ensure the safety and smooth traffic flow.

Public Transport, including buses and the metro, remains operational, providing a convenient alternative for commuters to reach their destinations without the hassle of navigating through road closures and heavy traffic.

Authorities have emphasized the importance of planning and considering alternative transportation methods to avoid inconvenience during the New Year festivities. The closure of Financial Centre Street’s Lower and Upper Deck is expected to be temporary, with normal traffic conditions resuming after the conclusion of the celebrations.

As the clock ticks down to the much-anticipated New Year’s Eve events, Dubai continues to uphold its reputation for hosting world-class celebrations. The RTA’s proactive approach to managing traffic and ensuring public safety reflects the city’s commitment to providing a seamless and enjoyable experience for all residents and visitors during this festive season.
