Dubai, December 31, 2023 – To guarantee residents’ and visitors’ utmost comfort and safety during the New Year’s Eve celebrations, the Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has mobilized an extensive operation overseeing traffic and public transport. This initiative is managed from four primary control and command centers strategically placed across the city.

The Dubai Media Office took to Twitter to announce the comprehensive measures, stating, “To ensure your comfort and safety during New Year’s Eve celebrations in #Dubai, RTA oversees traffic and public transport operations from 4 primary control and command centers.”

A dedicated team comprising 595 employees is working tirelessly to coordinate efforts, supported by a fleet of 32 patrol vehicles to monitor and respond swiftly to emerging situations. Furthermore, 230 public buses are strategically positioned to facilitate smooth transportation, ensuring that revelers can quickly move around the city.

The RTA has also deployed approximately 12,000 taxis, 10,000 limousines, and 14 specialized vehicles for road diversions. This comprehensive approach addresses the surge in transportation demands expected during the festivities. The sheer scale of the operation reflects Dubai’s commitment to ensuring the well-being and convenience of its residents and visitors during this joyous occasion.

The spokesperson for the RTA emphasized, “We want everyone to enjoy the celebrations without any concerns about transportation or traffic. Our dedicated teams are on high alert to address any issues promptly, making this New Year’s Eve a memorable and safe experience for all.”

These measures underscore the city’s commitment to providing top-notch services and showcase its capability to manage large-scale events efficiently.
