UAE’s Winter Tourism Campaign Kicks Off

Dubai: The fourth edition of the Winter Tourism Campaign in the UAE (World Coast Winter) has been officially launched by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and the ruler of Dubai. Sheikh Mohammed expressed gratitude for the natural beauty, architectural wonders, rich cultural heritage, and diverse traditions that make the country a beloved destination.

“We are delighted to welcome everyone to our nation, a cherished place transformed into a favorite spot by nature’s beauty, architectural marvels, and a rich cultural heritage. The Winter Tourism Campaign aims to contribute 45 billion dirhams to the country’s economy by 2031,” stated Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

The official commencement of the campaign promises a tapestry of experiences, debunking myths about winter tourism in the region. The event marks a tradition of diverse festivities and programs in the Winter Tourism Camp, showcasing the richness and variety of the region’s cultural tapestry.

Setting Ambitious Goals for 2031

The national tourism sector, through the World Coast Winter initiative, aspires to contribute 45 billion dirhams to the country’s economic sector by 2031. The current Winter Tourism Camp is an embodiment of diverse narratives, capturing the essence of various cultural expressions.

Abdul Thukh Al Marri, Chairman of the Emirates Tourism Council, emphasized that the campaign, launched in December 2020, aimed to enhance and diversify the tourism sector. The council sees tourism as a vital tool to showcase the country’s diversity in landscapes, including deserts, mountains, and coastal areas, appealing to a wide range of global travelers.

Embracing International Tourists

The most significant aspect of this campaign is its appeal to international tourists. Starting in December 2020, the Winter Tourism Camp has become a hub for global travelers seeking a blend of natural beauty and cultural heritage. The diverse offerings in cultural and heritage tourism, combined with the lure of pristine beaches and outdoor activities, position the UAE as an ideal destination.

Al Mansar Beach Park: A Private Oasis

Dubai Municipality has introduced private entertainment centers within Al Mansar Beach Park, catering to daily beach enthusiasts. With 15 centers featuring amenities like sofas, gazebos, TVs, grilling stations, and clean restrooms, visitors can enjoy a day of leisure with friends or family for a fee ranging from 150 to 200 dirhams.

The park, open from 8 AM to 10 PM daily and extending to 11 PM on Wednesdays and Saturdays, provides a perfect setting for barbecues. Additionally, private bookings can be made for sunrise to 8 AM and from 11 PM to midnight.

Embrace the Beach Lifestyle

Al Mansar Beach Park’s private entertainment centers offer a range of experiences, from enjoying the beach view to indulging in barbecue sessions. Operating every day, this initiative is a significant step in making Dubai a 24/7 destination for beach enthusiasts.

In conclusion, the Winter Tourism Campaign in the UAE is not just about attracting tourists but setting ambitious economic goals. With a perfect blend of natural beauty, cultural heritage, and modern amenities, the country positions itself as a global travel hotspot. As the campaign unfolds, it not only dispels myths but also opens up new avenues for the UAE to showcase its diverse offerings.
