In the holy month of Ramadan, leading retailers in the UAE have announced discounts of up to 75% on various products. Unioncoop, based in Dubai, declared that discounts ranging from 50% to 75% will be available on 4,000 items during Ramadan. Additionally, 11 new camps will be launched. Mohamed Al Hashemi, the Chief Executive Officer of Unioncoop, mentioned that these camps will feature 14 caravans and 2,000 products at discounted prices.

Certain products under the Tamayaz card program may experience higher discounts. Currently, there are around ten million Tamayaz cardholders. This year’s discounts, which amount to 10 million dirhams, are expected to surpass last year’s figures.
In response to increasing demand, outlets in Dubai are opening up more areas, closely monitoring hypermarkets and international markets. According to Dubai’s Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department, Ramadan is set to begin on March 12, 2024, with Eid al-Fitr expected to fall on April 10, 2024. Starting March 8, cardholders supported by the government will be allowed to use cards such as Noor, AliPay, and WeChat to purchase in hypermarkets.
