Major General Saif Muhammad Al Zari Al Shamsi, Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police, Ali Ahmed Al Abou Ghasin, Chairman of Sharjah Fish Resources Authority, and Muhammad bin Shahrain, President of the Kalba Fishermen’s Association, are among the members of the committee overseeing these regulations.

According to the new regulations, fishing is prohibited in designated areas. Furthermore, fishing activities such as fishing or selling fish outside Kalba are prohibited without authorization. These measures aim to protect the environment and the livelihoods of fishermen affected by the loss caused by the initiatives of the protected area authority.

Special committees will be formed to provide appropriate compensation to affected fishermen in case of disasters. Establishing these committees underscores the government’s commitment to mitigating the losses incurred by fishermen in times of crisis.
