Dubai’s government in the Emirates has officially declared a new year period with paid leave for residents in the labor sector. The announcement came from the Dubai authorities, confirming that the official duration of the new year break for individuals in the workforce will commence from January 1, 2024. Work is set to resume on January 2, 2024, marking the end of this special leave.
In a move that aims to benefit employees engaged in shifts or providing services to the general public, as well as organizations, departments, and establishments involved in essential services, the regional government has exempted them from work during this period. Each entity will determine its operational hours, aligning them with each department’s operational requirements and necessities.
