Abu Dhabi Want to see classic movies in theatres? There is a chance to do that in Abu Dhabi. Officials announced that Abu Dhabi will soon have a new museum dedicated to classic films. The UAE Cultural Ambassadorship of ALESCO (Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization) announced this at a cultural event at the Arab World Institute, in Paris. Anansi Media and Alesco organized the program “Immortal Creations in Classical Cinema”.

Jack Lang, President de L’Institut du Monte Arabe (IMA), stated: “We are thrilled that Alesco IMA chose to pay tribute to classical Arab cinema.” We are also happy to be the UAE Cultural ambassador, who does remarkable work in developing arts, culture, and films. ALEXO expert Dr. Ahmado Habibi said. Abdelrahman Lahi is the director of the Dar Mauritania Cultural Foundation. He is also a UNESCO expert and explained why it was important to have a museum that travels with history and cinema. Alesco expert Dr. Ahmado Habibi said.

Lahi spoke on Arab Cinema in The Golden Age – One Hundred Years Of Magic, Creativity, and Complexity. The cinema of the Golden Age was the collective burial and remembrance of people’s dreams and memories. Madad Hareb Al Khili, UAE Embassy Deputy Chief of Mission Ahmed Almullah; Alaska expert Dr. Ahmedo Habibi; Aisha Kamali; Representative of the UAE at UNESCO, Afifah Shayadi; Representative of Alaska at UNESCO. Also present were ambassadors and diplomats from Arab countries.
